Privacy

Solid Siege collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the game has no server of its own.

Playing together

Multiplayer is local. The device hosting a game runs a small web server on your own network, so that phones, tablets and computers can join from a web browser. What it serves and receives stays on your network.

Apple devices ask for two permissions. Local Network: Solid Siege finds other devices in the room so they can join the same game. Bluetooth: so an iPhone, iPad or Mac that is not on the same WiFi can still join the game as a controller.

The QR code on the host's screen opens a page on this website, solidsiege.com/join. The host's address and name are carried in the part of the link after the “#”, which a browser never sends to a website: they stay on the phone that scanned the code. Typing the address under the QR code into a browser instead goes straight to the host.

iCloud

The furthest start minute you have unlocked is saved on the device and in your own iCloud (key-value storage), so your Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac open the same minutes. Nothing else goes to iCloud, and nobody else can see it. On the device itself the game also keeps its audio mix and a random install ID, which other Solid Siege devices on your network use to tell it apart.
